As we already informed you in a previous news article, the third and last SUAFRI-EPC brokerage event took place in Kiev (Ukraine) the 9th of November 2016. Our partner, Kharkov Technologies, organised this event in conjunction of the 'Agroforum: 8th International Agro industrial Trade Fair'.
The Agroforum attracted several hundreds of participants interested in the latest innovative technologies developed in the field of agriculture and food industry. This was a great opportunity for the SUAFRI-EPC project to access this pool of specialists. On the other hand the Agroforum organizers were happy to promote about our brokerage event and policy debate on their webpage.
The SUAFRI-EPC brokerage event attracted key Ukrainian Agri-Food stakeholders as well as representatives from other EPC countries (e.g. Armenia, Belarus and Georgia). To be mentioned the participation of Mrs. Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister on European Integration from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as well as Mrs Fesenko, national Coordinator of the EEN-Ukraine consortium.
The three brokerage events organised in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine had a significant importance for transferring the SUAFRI-EPC knowledge on Research to Innovation (R2I) and stimulating cooperation between the industry and academia. The EPC partners will continue raising the awareness of local Agri-food actors on R2I topics after the end of the project.
