The first SUAFRI-EPC summer school was organised at the Danish Technological Institute in Aarhus the 29/09 - 03/10/2014. During this week, the partners TII and Dianova, prepared a five days technology transfer training course combined to two days site visits.

Eighteen persons participated to our SUAFRI-EPC summer-school in addition to the seven EU participants part of TII's network of members. The group composed of scientists and technology transfer experts worked intensively together and shared their knowledge, experience and point of view during lectures and group exercises proposed by the trainers.

The training programme consisted in the following topics:

  • "Making the Business Case for Technology Opportunities - Practical Bridge-Building between Science and Business", Ernst Max Nielsen (MaxInno)
  • "Success Factors in Growing New Technology-Based Firms", Magnus Klofsten (University of Linköping)
  • "Partnering with Universities: Establishing Successful Short-term and Long-term Relationships", Gillian McFadzean (Helix Advisory Services Ltd.)
